We always enjoy introducing our collections to a wider audience and recently we had two perfect opportunities to do that when we took our fashion shows on the road.
In late September we were invited to be part of a Fashion Extravaganza at Pannal Golf Club in Harrogate. This wonderful fundraising event was in aid of cancer charity Marie Curie and was supported by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable audience from Yorkshire and the North East.
The event started with a reveal of the new season's fashions by Victoria Lane. Organiser Liz Ramus said: "We were presented with five scenes of colourful statement fashion pieces from Victoria Lane which were thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. The event was extremely well attended and I am delighted to say raised a magnificent total of £2000 for Marie Curie."
Music to accompany the show was provided by a DJ and following a delicious lunch the audience were entertained by magician, Magic Medic.
Three weeks later Victoria Lane Fashions took part in another fundraising fashion show, this time in aid of The Children's Charity Circle, a well known and established charity which distributes funds to a range of local children's charities.
This event took place at Shipley Golf Club where 115 ladies sat down for lunch before being treated to a stunning parade of autumn and winter clothing. The models worked hard during the show to ensure that everyone in the audience got a full view of each outfit and was able to see the clothing in detail.
Starting with outerwear the models showed fabulous fur trimmed coats and capes plus a selection of large scarves known as sarapes, highlighted by cerise and bright blue knitwear.
Next came a sophisticated mix of pearl grey and camel ensembles from Rabe and Just White: knitwear, blouses and gillets with embellishments of sequins and embroidery, matched with trousers and jeans by Brax and Michèle.
Then there were jeans, a wide selection with something for everyone; any age, any shape and any size there was a jean to fit, shown in classic blue from sporty to smart casual.
The audience were wowed by the autumn collection from Georgedé of Paris. Soft skirts and trousers with cleverly designed tops and jackets were shown in colours and shapes which are so wearable and suitable for any occasion from parties and dinners to special events.
Commentary for the show was by Vicki Lane herself, displaying her passion and knowledge of the fashion industry and the collections stocked by Victoria Lane Fashions.
We were delighted to have played a part at both of these events which raised significant sums of money for inspiring and worthwhile charities.
