Can you believe it is already time to view and order clothes for Autumn and Winter 2018? It almost seems as though we are wishing the year away.

Yet the anticipation of travelling to Düsseldorf always brings excitement as the new ranges will be revealed in all their glory.

This year Vicki and Caroline were eager to see the new seasons' shades as colour is very important to Victoria Lane Fashions. It marks a strong demarcation between them and their competitors and they love to discover something that flatters while still following fashion trends. They were not disappointed.

Faber showed purple through to soft lilac, following the trend set by American designer Michael Kors in autumn 2017. Also on view were outfits in winter lime and red, all mixed with basics of charcoal and black and with lurex, velvet, chenille and sparkle highlights.

Designer Thomas, of the Lucia fashion house, always brings something new to the catwalk and this year it was his retro prints in two of his main colour collections: navy, red and royal blue with cream highlights followed by a new teal blue with amber and bronze green, a fantastic new base colour for Autumn.

Eugen Klein unveiled jackets and skirts made from boucle in navy mixed with amethyst in a tartan check. There were also wonderful boiled wool jackets in amethyst and pink and exciting twinsets in intarsia (patterned) knitwear. Also loved was their cyclamen and black story where they introduced an intricate tweed jacket in pink tones.

Knitwear was prominent this year with Brax continuing their star theme in navy and reds while their autumn trouser range includes some exciting new fabrics and patterns.

Erfo showed new blouse profiles this year with sleeve and hem interest and an abundance of crystal pleating using soft and textured fabrics in cream, soft pink an classic black.

Having lost so many quality coat suppliers over the past few seasons, Vicki and Caroline were delighted with the new Lebek collection. There were exciting prints and colours aligned with interesting quilting, a new ultra-light down filling and glamorous faux furs, a range where there is something for everyone.

Finally, Victoria Lane Fashions are delighted to announce that there will be three new collections in-store for the autumn.

Monari, Italian designer knitwear made in Germany with a contemporary collection in over-shaped sizes with metallic and sparkle trims.

Passioni offers glamorous knitwear with fur trim and fabulous detailing of pearls, studs and fringing.

Relax from Toni has a fantastic range of trousers to fit every shape and size ranging from smart wear to casual. These are bound to be very popular.

All in all an exciting adventure to the German fashion shows which will be reflected in the 2018 autumn and winter stock at Victoria Lane Fashions.
